Vision We are guided by our vision that all people, regardless of socioeconomic, cultural or ethnic background deserve to meet their basic needs for food, dignity and respect. It is only then that self-esteem and empowerment can move individuals to independence. We are focused on the individual. Loaves & Fishes dining sites provide access to additional social services as needed and appropriate under the supervision of a Licensed Social Worker.

Mission The mission of Loaves & Fishes is to provide nutritious meals to those who are hungry in the Twin Cities metro area in an atmosphere of hospitality at site locations where the need is greatest and to develop joint ventures/partnerships with like-minded organizations to assist guests with additional basic needs key to becoming self-sufficient.

Core Values Everyone is entitled to a meal with dignity. Respect for others and self is the only requirement at our sites. We connect people who want to serve with people needing service.

The Future While continuing to fulfill a great need among homeless men, seniors, the unemployed and underemployed, we will strive to make our services especially welcoming to families and children.
